The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air:
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit’s care.
ブルーベルはこの世で一番かぐわしく
夏の風に揺らめいて、
花は偉大な力で
私の魂の痛みを和らげる。

note: flowers in the picture are not bluebells. I chose similar one in my stocks.
何も咲かない寒い日は、下へ下へと根を伸ばせ。
やがて大きな花が咲く。
When it’s too cold to come into bloom, you put down roots in deeper and deeper.
You will have a large flower soon or later.
What an awful name it is. “ドクダミ”, pronounced like “doc dummy” in Japanese, is probably same as a fish mint and literally it means “Poison queller”. It sounds somehow bad especially in Japanese. As you see, doubled Ds gives us strong impression and, perhaps as you know, it smells terrible. Adding to this, they love a wet place in shade.
I was thinking last week how can I take a picture of the “ドクダミ” with beauty because it’s going to be a rainy season soon and “ドクダミ” is in bloom.
