Shakedown

201512-311

I usually post an article about cross-cultural things in Japanese and photographs in English. A few weeks ago, as readers who understand Japanese know, I wrote a short story of my experience in Otaru, an historic northern town, through the finder of my old camera which was already missed somewhere. It was absolutely good SLR for taking snapshots. The Olympus with a 50mm lens had been a kind of reference for a long time. Now I own a D-SLR. It is much larger than Olympus but easier to use. At least it always captures a image as I looked into.
One of lenses I have used is 13-years-old zoom one and time to time camera reports an error then I have decided to add new one.
Pictures taken with new zoom are here.

A cat behind a barrier

201511-311

It seems to be a kind of fads to take pictures of a cat especially in Japan. If you like a cat and want to feel comforted, all you have to do is to look into your SNS. You would see a plenty of photos. So, I’m wondering if I could take a picture of cats patrolling their territory close to my house, of course with my style.
The first step is always the hardest; to find a cat. I usually catch sight of it mostly everyday but obviously it’s just accidental encounter. Luckily it was ok this time. Then suddenly I found myself having no idea. Here’s the result from what I came up with.
