Monochrome Monday: Ephemeral

201503-441

As I wrote last week, I prefer less colour, low saturated pictures rather than B&W. Petals are still pink but vague. That’s because Spring in Yokohama.

The post is also my second contribution to WPC: Ephemeral.

That said, in spite of the title, I should post coloured pictures. If you live on the mid-latitude of north hemisphere, you can’t help posting colourful pictures of Sakura or spring flowers.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Ephemeral

201503-412

Probably, one of the most proper words for Ephemeral in Japanese would be “Hakanai” (儚い) which means also short-lived, momentary or transitory and its symbolic nature is Sakura (Cherry blossom). Someone said it is beautiful because momentary splashing energy appears in short time.

However, it is sort of ambivalent. For a life of Sakura is just one week, time to time, Sakura is a symbolic nature of “short-lived” as autumn leaves are.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wall

201503-201

Concrete walls aren’t as stiff as urban life.
Time to time we have some difficulties finding an exit.
Probably all we need to do is to keep a personal wall being soft.

Here are some pics of concrete walls I took in a residential block.
