Weekly Photo Challenge: Transition

IMG_4416

Poinsettia having scarlet petallike leaves is a popular plant for the Christmas also in Japan. It requires darkness more than 12 hours to start changing color and does also brightness for vivid color. In addition it must be warm at least higher than 5C(40F). OK, fine! Here’s a picture of poinsettia in transition.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Victory

201511-301

It has been a long time after I spent my winter holiday in Canada for skiing. I had a parallel slalom race there and lost it to a German skier. At the night, I was hanging out to find my table for dinner at a crowded party and finally found a small place to take my time in eating. Then, looking around me, the German was smiling next to me. What a coincidence! Of course, I enjoyed the night with him talking about many things. I lost the game but won a small victory of my life. Mountains are now far from here but  surely here.

Mostly Monochrome Monday: an autumn day

201511-221

It’s still warm in Yokohama but the winter days must be just next to. Anybody would not use a drinking fountain anymore.
Pictures are not monochrome exactly as usual.

まだまだ暖かいが冬はすぐそこにある。水飲み場は寂しくそこにあった。
いつものように厳密にはモノクローム写真ではない。
