So far I’ve never taken selfies since I got my first own camera in some reasons. The picture at bottom is the first one. Perhaps you may find me having Canon under the texture, maybe no.
My intention can be seen in the picture on top. It was done with a glass and foam imaging the far sea.

A Part of Wordless Wednesday
lives in chains
先日、フランス在住の知人から仕事に復帰したとの連絡があった。ご迷惑をおかけしましたと、事務的ながら丁寧な文面である。もちろん仕事に復帰したのは3週間のバカンスからであって、休職していたとかそんな理由ではない。あたりまえの夏休みを家族で過ごしただけなのだが、日本に気を遣っての連絡なのだろう。普段と違ったよそよそしい文章を眺めながら、気にしなくてもいいのにとひとり呟いた。
この知人のフランスでのご実家はフランス国内だったと記憶しているが、仕事関係者と話していると案外スペインやらスイスやらと実家が国外という人も多い。だから夏休みにその田舎に帰るのかと思っていると、意外にもイタリアだとかイギリスだとかと全く無関係な場所が多い。あいつは北イタリアにひと月もいたからすっかりイタリアかぶれで困ったなどと言う。聞けば、近いのにずっと行った事がなくて、今回はすっかり満喫したそうである。
どうしてこうもバカンスに命がけで向き合うのか、多少疑問がわかないでもないが、ここは素直に羨ましいと言うべきだろう。その程度の余裕がないと、この暑い夏は乗り切れない。
For a long time I haven’t liked the word ‘satisfaction’ because I felt a kind of selfish posture somehow in the word. Of course I know it sounds sort of ludicrous. Satisfaction is our nature. Many things always bring it me with a daily face. Even so, I’m still bothered by the sense of uncomfortable strangeness in the word.
It was quite difficult to decide the concept of my contribution this week. I hope you find something with satisfaction from our planet.
