裂けてスポンジがむき出しになった孤独なベージュのシート
踏みつけられるごとに規則正しい悲鳴をあげる義務感に追われたペダル
すっかり刈り取られたはずの蔦が再び物憂げな空を見上げる石壁
灰色の雨と青緑色の雨の合間に息を吐くエンジン

繰り返し通り抜ける路地にいつまでも警戒し続ける猫と
繰り返し重い足を持ち上げる階段に猫を探す夕暮れ
湿った夏草の匂いもまた夕餉までの渇きの一部をなし
湿ったシャツの襟元もまた1日の終わりを示す

Here comes the hot and humid night in Yokohama. It’s still in the rainy season and I need to find a better way to sleep well every night. Sometimes I wonder if it would take decades before I supposed to be able to get my own nights but, of course, I know it’s just a kind of exaggerated sigh.

ドクダミとはまた酷い名前を付けたものである。Wikipedia によれば「毒矯み」（矯める=ためる=抑える=毒を抑える草）だそうなので、あながち悪い名前とも言いがたいところもあるが、響きからしてどうやっても良くは聞こえない。何しろ「ドク」と「ダミ」である。ひとつひとつの印象が綺麗に聞こえない上に、ダッダーンと言う重い響きすら感じてくる。爽やかとは言えない赤みを帯びた丸く尖った葉が家陰の湿った土地に広がり、呼応するように生臭いにおいが周囲を覆う。花は一見パッとしない。薬草として使われるあたりも、この草に関してはかえってネガティヴなイメージである。
そのドクダミを美しく撮れないかと考えた。よく見れば、その小さな白い花は黄色い花心のような部分がわずかに色を与えて愛らしい。

What an awful name it is. “ドクダミ”, pronounced like “doc dummy” in Japanese, is probably same as a fish mint and literally it means “Poison queller”. It sounds somehow bad especially in Japanese. As you see, doubled Ds gives us strong impression and, perhaps as you know, it smells terrible. Adding to this, they love a wet place in shade.
I was thinking last week how can I take a picture of the “ドクダミ” with beauty because it’s going to be a rainy season soon and “ドクダミ” is in bloom.
