Lens-Artists Challenge #296: Abstracts

I’ve been waiting for years for someone to challenge me on abstract photography. I really like those types of photos. I can’t say I’m good at abstract photography, but I don’t care. I like that. That’s enough.
The first photo is not a new one. You may have spotted something in the photo. Right, it was taken at an amusement park.

I didn’t do any special technics for the second one. All I needed to do was to turn off auto-focus.


I thought it would be interesting to apply different color mapping, such as negative/positive processing. It may give some kind of thunder-like image.
As part of “Mostly Monochrome Monday,” I plan to use the following photos again.

　すっかり日差しが強くなって、時々目を開けていられなくなるほど眩しいこともある季節になった。ひどい人混みでなければマスクも必要のない日常が戻って、マスクとサングラスで人相を隠した怪しい人間にならずに済むのはありがたい。
　2年ほど前、目が悪くなったのか強いサングラスでは周囲が見にくくなったためにメガネ屋さんに行ったのだが、店員さん曰く、コロナ禍でもサングラスがそこそこ売れたそうだ。それまでは外出も控えているような時期もあったから、サングラスなど要らないだろうと思ったら、マスクにサングラスは人相が悪くなるので、比較的明るい目の見えるサングラスに買い換える需要があったのだそうだ。
「だって、みなさん海とかにもあまり行かなかったでしょう？」
そう尋ねる私に、憐れむような目でこちらを見たその人は、配達などをするドライバーさんですよと教えてくれた。マスクに濃いサングラスで配達先に行くのが憚られるということだそうだ。コンビニとかでも強盗と間違われかねないと。

　そんな話を思い出せるようになったことにホッとする。
