Saru-hashi (猿橋) bridge is lesser‐known but drawn in a Nishikie (錦絵) by Hiroshige (広重). The wooden bridge was built over the rapid where it was difficult to use pillars. Typically, in that case, suspension bridges are common solution but it was built with another classical way named “Hane-bashi”, literally drawbridge.
According to the Wikipedia, it is said that there’s no wooden Hane-bashi left in Japan and Saru-hashi is not the exception, that is, Today’s Saru-hashi was rebuilt with steel frames for safety.

A Part of Macro Monday
Whether you like it or not, Disney is one of the most successful brand of the entertainment business and the Disneyland might be the most vibrant and popular destination for family tourists in the summer vacation season. You could see a lot of smiling, happy voices and romantic scenes there and you could feel happy more or less even if you don’t like any theme parks.
However, perhaps you may think you want to spend quiet hours with your family. Everyday life is always too noisy, isn’t it.
Here’s Tokyo Disney Sea in quiet eyes.
好き嫌いはあるだろうが、ディズニーというブランドがエンタメの世界でもっとも成功したもののひとつであることには違いない。さらにディズニーランドと言えば、夏の家族旅には欠かせない存在であろう。テーマパークなんて嫌いだというむきであっても、行けば多くの笑顔に出会うに違いない。だが、ひょっとすると、家族と静かな時間を過ごしたいと思うこともあるだろう。日々の生活はあまりにやかましいではないか。
