It’s holiday season also in Yokohama. The city is twinkling like a star and go to bed at late night.
Aka-renga, literally red bricks, was a warehouse for exporting long while and is now used for a shopping mall. In the court, the christmas market is held now.
Twinkling winter gives us a warm night.
I’ll feature the twinkle night in Yokohama again soon.

Suddenly the summer has come in Yokohama. It was 30 degrees Celsius, 86 degrees Fahrenheit, this afternoon and a wind from south blew like a summer. Needless to say, it’s too early to be. It is the 1st of June. A cold wind from the continent, Siberia is on, sometimes brings a winter to mountains just several hundreds kilometers north from Yokohama.

A Part of Wordless Wednesday
今週は、Booksカテゴリの記事を予定していたが、毎週末の雪で忙しくまとめている時間もないことから、先週に続いて雪の写真である。しかもiPhoneである。まぁ、手抜きである。
iPhoneで写真を撮っていると、解像感の悪さもあってか正方形にトリミングしたくなる。正方形にトリミングして、少しフィルタをかけてやると、下手な写真もなぜか味わい深くなったような気がするのだ。
Instagramが始めたこの形式は、インスタント写真から発想しただけの偶然か考え抜かれたものかは知らないが、ある意味、簡単で非常に優れた方法なのだろう。
何故、この形式が面白いのかもよくわからない。ずっと3:2や4:3のアスペクト比に慣れて1:1が新鮮に感じられるからかなと思っていたが、最近はどうやらそうではなさそうだと思い始めた。1:1は余韻（余白）がないことで全体に目がいくらしいとか、周辺光量不足を模したようなフィルタは正方形のほうがバランスが良いとか、そんなことかもしれない。
カメラとしてのiPhoneも案外面白いのである。
