The monument was built for a memory of the Nagano Olympic Games 1998. Interestingly this statue, which seems to be a ski jumper, is put in front of the skating rink. Something strange happened in 16 years? Addition to this, someone would left his bamboo broom there as you see. Nobody’s interested in a past Olympic Games? Probably it is because many of facilities for the games are still used commonly.
You can see the monument of ski jump as a real one.

After one week flowering of cherry blossom, shower of snowy pink petals tells us coming green days in Yokohama. A short flowering time emphasizes also passing and coming sparkling days of a school term. Every sakura, the flower, knows the threshold of green season.
Probably, it would be the last day to enjoy a picnic under the sakura-trees this year. A weather news says it will be a rainy day tomorrow,
and the rain drops would color everything as green.

It was a kind of custom. I was enjoying marine sports like water-skiing or wet bike during a summer and, according to a definition of my friends, the season must be from the first of May to October. Indeed, it is six months long summer. Exactly saying, we preferred a lake close to Mt.Fuji rather than sea because sometimes it shows us a completely flat face like a mirror. One of drawbacks to go there was it was too cold in May. The water was just made from snow.
The first picture was taken at a port in Yokohama. Cloud in the second picture taken yesterday tells a reflection of summer.
