 Indian FritillaryThe Indian Fritillary is not an autumn butterfly but it looks good at autumn. In Japanese, it is called “Hyou-mon”, pardine、as you see.

タテハ類は秋の蝶ではないが、秋にはぴったりである。この蝶は(おそらく)ツマグロヒョウモン(褄黒豹紋)であり、実は秋というより豹柄という意味である。

CosmosA name of cosmos seems strange. Why cosmos? Is it related to the universe?

コスモスという名前も奇妙である。どうやらスペインで名づけられたらしいが、宇宙とは関係あるのかないのか?

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns

You see many lines here but is there any patterns?

The picture was taken at a museum of potteries, perhaps earthenware would be a better expression, where a famous potter lived in this house fifty years ago. His name was Shoji Hamada.

Looking into the room, perhaps you could see some rectangle patterns on walls, floors and tables.
