Hydrangea starts blooming this week and in Kamakura, an ancient capital in 13th century, soon a lot of people are enjoying its delicate colors. It is of origin Japan and most of breeds are improved in Europe for gardening. As you may know, there are more than hundreds of temles and fifty shrins, and a most of them are lised on some guide books. Kohtokuin is probaly most well known one for great budah.
However, out of Kamakura area, still a lot of nameless shrins and temples. Perhaps you may not find any delicate garnishs. Instead, you may see a sort of naive one.

　先週に引き続きヒメジョオン・ハルジオン論争を書こうというわけではない。侵略的外来種ワースト100とか書いておきながら、可愛らしい花だからもう一度載せたいといったような話でもない。可愛らしい蜂の写真のつもりである。蜂ってどういう意味だ？と聞かれかねないが、ちゃんと写真中央、少し右寄りに写っている。
　この頃は夏も近づいてきたこともあって、家の周りにはアブラムシやらカメムシやらが発生しつつあり、油断していると家の中にまで入り込んでくる。虫が苦手というわけでもないが、できれば人間の生活圏と同じ空間を使うのは遠慮してほしいというのが本音ではある。ゆったりコーヒーを飲んでいる目の前をフラフラと虫に飛ばれると、ちょっと落ち着かない。
　そんな中でも、個人的には、てんとう虫とカマキリとクモについては丁重な対応を心がけている。何せ目障りな虫を掃除してくれるのである。数年前にカマキリが植物の葉を食い荒らすバッタを狙っているのを見かけ、「ボナペティ」と放っておいたらバッタを捕まえるのに2時間もかけたということがあった。カマキリは気付かれまいとじっとしたまま動かず、おそらくは気付いていたバッタは動けば捕食されると動けなかったのだろう。
　そんなわけで下の写真は生まれたてのカマキリである。残念ながらiPhoneのフォーカスをうまく合わせられずクリアな映像ではないが、大きさは1センチにも満たないので、これが限界というものである。厳しくも愉快な夏が目前だ。
