「何もありませんよ。まったく何も。ほんとうの西の果てです。波がただ音を立てているだけでね、行きたがる人には何か理由があるのでしょうが、とんとわかりません。」
そう言いながら歪んだ青いキャップをボールペンに戻すと、パタと音を立ててそれを置いた。
「まぁ、言い過ぎたかも知れません。立派な灯台ならあります。あとは強い風と小さな観光案内所がひとつ。もしそれでも行かれるのなら風避けにジャケットか何かをお持ちなさい。大西洋の風は案外強いですから。」

I really like to walk down a morning street especially on quiet Sunday. People may have been at the end of a noisy night, people may have stood on the beginning of another busy day. Anyway it goes to the vanishing point of the day.
