I don’t imagine a taxi in New York by hearing the word yellow but, at least, the words yellow cab seems to be a common perception. The color of taxi should be yellow and have checker board design even if it is a boat.

It’s holiday season also in Yokohama. The city is twinkling like a star and go to bed at late night.
Aka-renga, literally red bricks, was a warehouse for exporting long while and is now used for a shopping mall. In the court, the christmas market is held now.
Twinkling winter gives us a warm night.
I’ll feature the twinkle night in Yokohama again soon.

本当の旅の発見は
新しい景色を見ることはでなく、
新しい視点を持つことにある。
わくわくするではないか。新たな発見、新しい自分との出会い。旅で出会ったちょっとした驚き、困った出来事、夢のような風景。そうしたこと全てが、単なる景色ではなく、新しい視点となって自分のどこかに加えられていく。そうやって新たに加えられた眼が記憶に残るのだろう。
でも、少し真面目だなとも思う。旅は日常から離れ、普段何かから隠している自分に戻ってゆっくりとすることだって良い。普段の生活から離れるために、新しい景色を見に行ったって何も不都合はない。新しい視点は自然に得られるに違いない。プルーストの意図することが何かは知らないが、きっとそんな自然に得た新たな視点が旅の発見なのだ。肩肘張って新しい視点を得る旅に出たら、ひょっとするとひどい肩凝りになって帰ってくることにもなりそうだ。
JALの広告を見ながら、なんとなく生真面目な印象を抱いたのは、そんな真面目な旅をつい考えてしまう自分の固定観念が原因なのかもしれない。ゆっくりとする休暇でも忙しなく見て回る休暇でも良い。意識せずとも、きっと新しい視点が得られるものだ。それが旅であり、旅で発見するものに違いない。

When you’re traveling, a bad weather makes your way dismal time to time.
Strong wind may screw up your schedule or rain may discourage your challenge.
On the other hand, the rain clean up dusty air and shows a dreamy scenery.
If you want, of course, you would see even a perfect rainbow.

At first, I got interested in the shape and color of this sign. It was a hot summer day, sky was blue and the metal was shining. The sign was looked like a part of summer. Then, I took this picture with my iPhone but what was this?
It said “Lead Hook” which meant that you could hang a leash of your dog on the hook. Looking into the sign, its shape was a face of a dog. Interestingly, the sign said in Japanese, “please do not use for a big dog”.
I posted similar pictures. Let me do it again because I like this signs as a symbolic view of busy city.
The last one is a handmade road sign. I think it was a good combination of green and a sign.
