Weekly Photo Challenge: Minimalist

201411-203

Minimalism, what a charming word. Many of the things are too complex today.

201411-204

Time to time, I tried to take a simple picture with light and shadow but it was far from the minimalism. One of such pictures I did was a previous header image of the Mont Saint Michel in France as some my readers know.

Monochrome Monday: gradient alleyway

201411-130Yokohama is NOT known as a slope city but actually you may see many steep gradients here and there.

横浜はあまり坂の町としては知られていないが、実際のところ、多くの急坂がある。

Weekly Photo Challenge: Descent

201411-103The temperature in Yokohama is descending gradually and Winter will come soon. North mountains are going to be white within one month. The blue frag is for a giant slalom of ski and, as you see, it would be difficult to know how it is going. This week, I prepared four pictures saying Descent.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Cover Art

201410-100I imagined what my favorite album was or which kind of music I loved. Wagner? Yes but no, probably cover art should be an image of middle age, which is just ordinary. How about the Latin Jazz?  seems not so good. OK, let’s try to make 60’s with new photos.

Then, I retouched a picture of Coca-Cola track.

201410-111Alternative idea was to make a futuristic cover suitable for a book about social issues such like greenhouse gas. It also could be a cover art of 70’s progressive rock.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Refraction

201410-030Three years ago, I had a chance to visit the exhibition of Jean-Michel Othoniel, who is well-know artist and his works are made of glass.

The refracted light was blended in colored glasses and reflected around you.

Time to time, we are confused and think where we are in the refracted world.
