Weekly Photo Challenge: Monument

201404-022The monument was built for a memory of the Nagano Olympic Games 1998. Interestingly this statue, which seems to be a ski jumper, is put in front of the skating rink. Something strange happened in 16 years? Addition to this, someone would left his bamboo broom there as you see. Nobody’s interested in a past Olympic Games? Probably it is because many of facilities for the games are still used commonly.

You can see the monument of ski jump as a real one.

Photo panoramique: Sakura, behind you

201404-016Flowering of cherry blossom, Somei-Yoshino, a kind of Sakura, is going to be over. Other some different kind of Sakuras are still blooming but only few kinds of Sakura are left.

ソメイヨシノの開花も終わろうとしている。他の種類の桜もまだ残ってはいるが、わずかな種類を残すのみである。

201404-015Behind many pictures of Sakura, perhaps behind you, charming other flowers could be blooming. And you could hear even voices of flogs.

多くの桜の写真の陰で、ひょっとすると背中合わせで、魅力的な花が咲いているというかもしれない。蛙の声すらも。

Weekly Photo Challenge: Threshold

201404-013After one week flowering of cherry blossom, shower of snowy pink petals tells us coming green days in Yokohama. A short flowering time emphasizes also passing and coming sparkling days of a school term. Every sakura, the flower, knows the threshold of green season.

201404-017Probably, it would be the last day to enjoy a picnic under the sakura-trees this year. A weather news says it will be a rainy day tomorrow,

201404-010

and the rain drops would color everything as green.
