From lipsticks to locomotives, Raymond Loewy might be one of the origins of retro-future design. Of course, he must not have agreed with me if he could read this post. However, I think, his design has been and will be somehow contemporary.

April is the beginning month of the financial and school year in Japan. Though a lot of companies have switched the year period from April-March to common January-December, graduates start their new job this month with plenty of dreams looking for the future. So April of Japan is, that is to say, the month of hope and anxiety.
The picture on top was taken at Minato-mirai area of Yokohama, literally meaning a port of future.
