Weekly Photo Challenge: Focus

201706-301

Sometimes bokeh brings special effects on a daily casual photo. A question is how to take it. Of course it is easy to do. Just to open the aperture and to get closer to what you want to focus on, you get nice bokeh. However it may not be what you have imagined. Professional photographers know how to balance between sharpness and bokeh and that’s why they earn living by taking pictures.
It was timely theme for challenge this week because I was wondering how I took a picture having bokeh with my old 100mm lens which produces strong blur in some cases. In other words, how to give an impression of focusing without strong bokeh.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Order

201706-211

I don’t like anything cluttered but I used to avoid taking pictures of completely organized man-made things because such images often evoke a sort of controlled society unintentionally. However, there’s exceptions always. Above picture of paddy field was taken with the intention to imply an uncomfortable management for the blog post on last Sunday.
In order to balance between positive and negative thoughts, let me show you alternative one.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Friend

When you watch someone go away, you may imagine her/his life from the back view. She must be happy because she is light on her feet. He might be tired because he never look around. You are free to do in any way.

Sometimes, through the view finder of my camera, I was wondering if they were friends and I was relieved somehow.
