The sturdy walls, which protect against the strong north wind and cold rain, may appear dark, but they create a bright, warm atmosphere invisible inside.
I’m not the type of person to feel attached to the city or country I live in. Or so I thought. To be honest, maybe it’s because I don’t like the city where I was born. The river and forests where I played as a child are no longer there. But then I suddenly think, there’s no such thing as an ideal city with no stress at all, and that it’s the many challenges that make it interesting. That’s when I started to think that, and I began to feel attached to Yokohama. If there’s something missing, you just need to go to a place that has it. There’s also magnificent nature just an hour’s drive away. Even a city of concrete and steel can be beautiful.
