Weekly Photo Challenge: Pedestrian

201710-211

A casual scenery along a walking trail which divides a forest from a residential district tells their peaceful everyday life. Bay areas of Yokohama are known as a symbolic place of the city with tricolor of blue, red and white but housing estates of north area sometimes in the woods are also a part of the city.

In case you prefer city life, pics at bottom were taken at Kawasaki, next to Yokohama.

A Window

201710-111

Sometimes you just have to jump out the window and grow wings on the way down.
– Ray Bradbury

Windows are for seeing outside.
At a summer noontime flowing slack air,
At a stormy night brushing chilly rain,
It always gives you a delightful place to know outside.
Windows are for getting a light.
At a warm breakfast place,
At a rainy afternoon with a ennui book,
It always gives you a light to spend your days.
Sometimes you have to get into nature in order not to miss yourself.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Windows

You might say it’s not a window. Even so, you are still getting a peek at a hidden steps in a small footpath through your green window.
I thought how I could take a picture of window without it at first but soon I came up with the classic idea from Ukiyoe.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Layered

201709-401

Many years passed after I left the city where I grew up. It was a typical town symbolizing past high economic growth and I missed most of scenes in my memory. I never would have guessed I missed my way there. Only a navigation system told me where I should turn. One thing completely same as what I know was, of course, nature, layered thunderclouds, fresh flower petals and ice needles.

No Photo Challenge but

201709-302

The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly.
不公正さや惨劇を深く信じることは無知の現れである。芋虫が言う世界の終わりを主は蝶と呼ぶのだ。
