The monument was built for a memory of the Nagano Olympic Games 1998. Interestingly this statue, which seems to be a ski jumper, is put in front of the skating rink. Something strange happened in 16 years? Addition to this, someone would left his bamboo broom there as you see. Nobody’s interested in a past Olympic Games? After one week flowering of cherry blossom, shower of snowy pink petals tells us coming green days in Yokohama. A short flowering time emphasizes also passing and coming sparkling days of a school term. Every sakura, the flower, knows the threshold of green season.
Probably, it would be the last day to enjoy a picnic under the sakura-trees this year. A weather news says it will be a rainy day tomorrow,
and the rain drops would color everything as green.
