Weekly Photo Challenge: Split-Second Story

201406-001mtSuddenly the summer has come in Yokohama. It was 30 degrees Celsius, 86 degrees Fahrenheit, this afternoon and a wind from south blew like a summer. Needless to say, it’s too early to be. It is the 1st of June. A cold wind from the continent, Siberia is on, sometimes brings a winter to mountains just several hundreds kilometers north from Yokohama.

A photo was a Split-Second Story from an airplane window to tell the truth.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Twist

201405-032I tried to find a picture shows a heavy “Shinto” twisted rope but failed. I missed it somewhere. Literally, twist makes something stronger.

201405-033

This water pump is not twisted but a kind of twist under the strong sun light. A silhouette gave me an impression like a soldier and the pipe was missing underground.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Work of Art

201405-013An industrial design is a kind of art, sometimes for me. Especially, a mechanical architecture has both complexity and systematic faces inside of it in nature. Today, it is difficult to see the fundamentals when we glance it.

201405-031In spite of difficulties of knowing fundamentals, we sometimes find a sophisticated architecture in it. Perhaps, it is because we always learn from nature.

Weekly Photo Challenge: On the Move

201405-007It is said that a steam locomotive changed the way of industrials and our lives. Maybe it’s true. We can move quickly and sometimes we think the old transportation system was so slow that we couldn’t have a better life. Indeed, now we have a faster train.

201405-020But also it is true that we sometimes think our lives would be better if we move slow. Probably still we are on the move toward new civilization.

201405-022Even when we miss our way,I believe, we have to keep on going.

201405-021BTW, I don’t recommend you go the sea around Mont Saint-Michel without any professional guide. Sea water moves very fast.
