The Osanbashi pier, the international pier at Yokohama bay, has quite unique shape. Its height is enough low to show beautiful ships and wooden surface is in harmony with nature. When you walk on the pier, you may feel like strolling on a hill. It was designed by Alejandro Zaera-Polo and Farshid Moussavi.

Today it is hardly ever seen a bridge in use has arch shape. Contemporary technology makes it possible to build a flat one. Of course, as you know, it is usually arched slightly in most cases. That’s why I always feel lucky when I find the beautiful arch in a shape of bridge.
