Weekly Photo Challenge: Community

CommunityA special season will be coming soon in Japan, not of Christmas but New Year’s day. Common Japanese people are not so religious. They don’t go to a Shinto shrine or a temple so frequently. One of the exception is the New Year’s day. Even a town community, which is usually just a weak network though, sometimes leads religious activities. Perhaps, we human beings are always finding a reason of communication. Community

Weekly Photo Challenge: Grand

ski jumping

Are you ready to take off?

Usually, you may watch a ski jumping contest on a TV if you are not a contestant. Once you stand on the top of the ramp, you probably know what you found in a TV is totally different from what athletes see. Of course I have no experience of ski jumping and no intention.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected

TrachycarpusIt is surely Trachycarpus, a kind of palm tree(Arecaceae), 棕櫚(Shu-ro) in Japanese but what is that  orange leaves. The unexpected branch with orange leaves appeared on top of the palm tree a few weeks ago. I found it in a morning but I didn’t take care. Then, after several days passed, I understood it is not a part of the palm tree but something different. Probably because it turned to red, I could know it. This strange tree is seen around 4 meters (12 feet) high. Perhaps it put down the root on the palm tree.
