The pic was shot in spring. I intended to share another one but decided this one out of consideration to the right of publicity. Many of participators were marching with joyful smile in tender green.

It’s not a kind of jokes but the name of the place where some contests of Nagano Olympic Games of alpine skiing like downhill and jump were held was Happo-one. ONE means “ridge” in Japanese and pronounced as O+Ne. Happo-one is one of my most favorite ski area and one of the most famous destination for skiing from asian countries as well as domestic visitors.
The XVIII Olympic Winter Games, Nagano, was taken place in February 1998 and then mostly 16 years past. The next winter Olympic Games, Sochi, Russia, is going to be celebrated soon in February 2014. I’m looking forward to watching it on TV or Web and you must be.

A special season will be coming soon in Japan, not of Christmas but New Year’s day. Common Japanese people are not so religious. They don’t go to a Shinto shrine or a temple so frequently. One of the exception is the New Year’s day. Even a town community, which is usually just a weak network though, sometimes leads religious activities. Perhaps, we human beings are always finding a reason of communication.
