I was shopping for daily necessities at the hypermarket. A lot of chocolates were displayed and each boxes were so large. Actually too large for me. Then suddenly I found my humming along the music from the loudspeaker. It was ‘Happy Xmas’ but partially in French. So, let’s hope it’s good one. War will be soon over.

ハイパーマーケットで日用品の買い物をしていた。通路にも所狭しとチョコレートがおかれ、クリスマスムードいっぱいの空間だった。そしてふと気がついたのだ。ハッピークリスマスがフランス語で流れているのを。半分は英語だったが、確かに一部はフランス語だった。来年こそは良い年になるだろう。
