砂糖がけのような凍りついた葉の下に深い赤を見つけた朝は、少しだけ奥歯が疼く。
これだけ凍りつくと、寒さよりも冬の美しさに目がいくわけですが、それでも寒いには違いありません。なんだか奥歯がこそばったいような気がするのは、多分、砂糖がけのような霜が理由ではなく、単に寒いからでしょう。後ひと月もすれば、凍ったような寒さも先が見えるはずです。
I prefer rather cold, dry and sunny winter probably I was born in such a place. I am interested in the rainy winter in Brittany and a bit curious about the culture. It means I am still a stranger here.

The happiest place is not always warm. Colours are not always missing in the darkness. Fog is not always hiding the sun.
冷たい朝霧に凍えようが、暗さの中で色を見失おうが、霧が太陽を隠そうが、それがいつも続くわけではない。
A Part of Mostly Monochrome Monday
After raining several weeks, a colour of light blue has been back to the sky. Still the winter light is not enough strong to see underfoot and a path to a small church is in sullen silence. And then, all of sudden, I find a bright sea ahead, a view from a narrow place to the next days.
冷たい長雨の後に青空が戻ってきたとしても、冬の光はあまりに弱く足元もおぼつかない。小さな教会に続く陰鬱な小道が続く。やがて突然に気づくのだ。狭い道の向こうに輝く海が見えることに。
昨秋には仕事にひと区切りがついて、そろそろブルターニュを離れる頃かなと思っていましたが、気がついてみれば、まだブルターニュの海を見ています。一体どうなることやら。

冷たい朝の方が美しい場合もある。
久しぶりのFrozen Fridayは、先週と全く同じテキストです。フランス北西部の海寄りの場所は、地図をよく眺めると案外フランス本土では中緯度になり、メキシコ湾流の暖かな海流に洗われるおかげで、冬の間もさほど寒くありません。北海道より緯度が高いにもかかわらず、雪も滅多に降らない環境です。それでも北極からの寒気が降りて来れば、木々が凍ることもあります。そんな時は、冬だからこその美しさを感じるわけです。
Almost a year has passed after the last ‘Frozen Friday’ where I intends to show some cold day in Brittany. In fact, it is not so cold place thanks to the warm ocean current but, two or three times in winter, cold air from the north pole makes Brittany cold with a gift of beauty of winter.
