my second contribution to Nancy Merrill’s “A Photo a Week Challenge: Blue”
Blue is said to be a cold color. I agree such an idea but I suppose many of people don’t feel cold with the color in most cases. Actually there’s not so much blue things in nature. Few exceptions would be some flowers, water of a fine day and the sky.
Last evening I strolled around the waterfront area of Yokohama to find artificial blues and took some.

This photo is not a new one but was taken for expressing reflections at Ljubljana.
It was a fine morning. Sky was blue, birds were tweeting, commuters were busy for starting their new day and I was relaxing because it was still quiet. Perhaps as you know, it was a famous place where it was always raining. Those signs noticed you that you might be wet. I couldn’t help taking pictures. I looked into the view finder of my camera. Then I found him, crossing the square, by his own arms.
Why was it raining there. Where was he going to. On reflection.
この写真は今回のチャレンジのために撮影したものではないが、まさに写り込む「影」のために撮ったものである。
それはとても美しい朝だった。青空と朝のさえずりと足急ぐ通勤中の人々とが、その街の息遣いを表していた。いつでもそこだけは雨が降っている知られた観光名所。写真好きでなくともシャッターを切りたくなる光景である。そしてファインダーを覗き込み気付いたのだ。誰かがその広場を腕だけで横切って行くのに。
なぜそこには雨が降り続き、彼は腕だけでどこに行くのか。写り込む影。
