Weekly Photo Challenge: Variations on a Theme

I may feel awkward somehow if I don’t participate this week but the meeting was scheduled on Sunday to Saturday, nine am to seven pm, same theme with variations. No way. I hope it went well. (I don’t mean the meeting but my photo challenge, of course)

Weekly Photo Challenge: Weathered

201801-301

Even when you are passing at a temple with no name (probably you just don’t know it) and even if you are not a Buddhist (probably not anyway), old wooden figures at a gate would stand out in your memory for a while. Their weathered faces are made by rain, wind, sun beam and awe.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Growth

201801-201

Some words would be needed. First of all, it’s a cherry tree in bloom and cherry blossoms are sometimes interpreted as a symbol of growth in Japan because a school year starts in April with full blooming Sakura cherry. However there are so many kinds of Sakura and one of them starts blooming in December or January. It might not be the best one but it is still beautiful.

Weekly Photo Challenge: 2017 Favorites

201712-501

The word ‘Favorites’ is quite common but it always reminds me a voice of Julie Andrews probably because it is still a foreign word for me and I learned it in the movie. That’s not so bad.
This week I’ve picked out a photo I dropped the idea to post for WPC at once, capturing my favorite place.
