Hydrangea starts blooming this week and in Kamakura, an ancient capital in 13th century, soon a lot of people are enjoying its delicate colors. It is of origin Japan and most of breeds are improved in Europe for gardening. As you may know, there are more than hundreds of temles and fifty shrins, and a most of them are lised on some guide books. Kohtokuin is probaly most well known one for great budah.
However, out of Kamakura area, still a lot of nameless shrins and temples. Perhaps you may not find any delicate garnishs. Instead, you may see a sort of naive one.
Lens-Artists Challenge #300: Delicate

Hydrangea improved in Europe is as below. Colors are more cheerful and bright.

Hydrangeas are delicate in flower, and also the withered flower is a beauty. Like lace. Thank you for choosing this flower!
I love this flower so it’s the perfect time to visit Kamakura.

Delicate flowers, for sure. I’m no expert on flowers, but I think we have a couple of hydrangea plants in our condo building’s landscaping area. They don’t quite look like these, but close, so maybe a different variety.
My French friend has hydrangeas in his backyard. They come in many different colors and shapes. Hydrangeas are now popular flowers all over the world. I hope you enjoy them.
You’ve highlighted one of my favorite flowers, the hydrangea. They bloom beautifully here but for only a very short time before the heat gets to them. Thanks for the lovely reminder as ours won’t appear again until next year.
Probably your place has a similar weather condition to Japan for hydrangeas. It is said a flower in June rain in Japan. At least in Canada and in northern France I know, it blooms from June to August.
