I was gazing in awe at the sight. Everything seemed to be put in a lot of time and effort. It was old and frayed but still looked usable.
I didn’t need to know what the figures meant. It was made with squares and circles, saying something important while sailing.
ただじっとその光景を見つめていた。何もかもが手間暇かけてそこに置かれたようだった。古くくたびれたがまだ使えそうでもあった。
その数字が何を意味するかなど知る必要もない。四角と円で作られたそれは航海中の何かを語っているのだ。
